What to include

You will get a faster fix if your first message includes:

• your store URL (your-store.myshopify.com);
• the theme you are using, and whether it is customised;
• what you expected to happen, and what happened instead;
• a screenshot or short screen recording, if the problem is visual;
• which browser and device you saw it on.

If the issue only appears on a password-protected store, send the storefront password too — otherwise we cannot see what you are seeing.

Common questions

The button is not showing up

Nine times out of ten the app embed is not switched on. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize, open App embeds in the left sidebar, turn Scroll Up Pro on, and save. The app's home screen has a button that takes you straight there.

If the embed is already on, check Visibility in the app — the button may be switched off for that page type, that device, or that country. Also check that you have scrolled far enough: by default the button appears after 300 pixels.

My settings are not reaching the storefront

Open the app's home screen and use Re-sync settings. That republishes your current configuration to your storefront. If it still does not apply, email us — include your store URL and we will look at it directly.

The button overlaps something in my theme

Adjust the position in Design → Position. Desktop and mobile are set separately, so you can move it on a phone without changing the desktop placement. If it clashes with a sticky cart bar or a chat widget, raising the vertical offset usually solves it. You can also switch on Hide once the footer is in view.

If another floating element covers the button, raise the stacking order in the theme editor: App embeds → Scroll Up Pro → Stacking order.

Infinite scroll is not loading more products

Scroll Up Pro detects the product grid and pagination automatically on standard Online Store 2.0 themes. Heavily customised themes sometimes need a hand: in Advanced → Theme selectors, set the product grid selector and pagination selector manually. If you are not sure what they are, email us your store URL and we will find them for you.

Also check that the collection actually has more than one page of products, and that infinite scroll is enabled for that page type.

Will this slow my store down?

Scroll Up Pro is 10.3 KB gzipped and loads after your page content. It makes no third-party requests and adds no layout shift. Your settings are built into the page by Shopify, so your storefront never has to fetch configuration. On pages where you have hidden the button, Scroll Up Pro loads nothing at all.

Does infinite scroll hurt my SEO?

Not with Scroll Up Pro. Infinite scroll damages SEO when it removes pagination, because search engines do not scroll and lose the route to later pages. Scroll Up Pro keeps your pagination links in the page with rel="next" intact and only hides them visually, so crawlers continue to find every product.

What happens if I uninstall?

Everything disappears from your storefront immediately. Scroll Up Pro is an app embed rather than injected theme code, so Shopify removes it for you — there is no leftover button and nothing to clean out of your theme files. Everything we hold about your store is deleted within 48 hours.

Is it really free?

Yes — every feature, with no trial period and no payment details. If we ever introduce a paid plan, we will give 30 days' notice and will not take away features you are already using. See our Terms of Service.

Is it accessible?

Scroll Up Pro uses a real button element with keyboard focus, a visible focus ring, a screen-reader label you can translate, and a 44×44 pixel minimum touch target on mobile that cannot be configured smaller. Shoppers who have asked their device to reduce motion get an instant scroll instead of an animated one, automatically.

Reporting a security issue

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please email infinitescrolltotop@gmail.com with the subject line "Security" rather than raising it publicly. We will acknowledge within two business days and keep you updated until it is resolved. We will not pursue action against anyone who reports an issue in good faith and gives us a reasonable opportunity to fix it.

Requesting your data, or deletion

You can delete everything we hold by uninstalling the app — the purge completes within 48 hours. For an access or deletion request, email infinitescrolltotop@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
